Schaeffer’s Southern Nationals Bonus Series Travels to Blue Ridge, GA for $4,000 Race on April 28th

BRASSTOWN, NC (April 24, 2018)—The Schaeffer’s Oil Southern Nationals Bonus Series presented by Sunoco Race Fuels and Tennessee RV will get back to action this Saturday April 28th after a month break as the third points racing event of the season takes the tour to Blue Ridge Motorsports Park in Blue Ridge, Ga. The tour will compete 40 laps for $4,000-to-win and $400-to-start.

This will mark the second-ever visit by the tour to Blue Ridge this Saturday. This will also be the third points paying event of the season. In addition to the Super Late Models, the Crate/Limited Late Models will run combined for $800-to-win, the Hobby 602 will run for $500-to-win, the Street Stocks will compete for $350-to-win, the Front Wheel Drive class will race for $250-to-win, the Beginner 602 will race for $100-to-win and the Beginner Front Wheel Drive class will also be on the racing card for the evening.

During last year’s lone series visit to Blue Ridge, Donald McIntosh of Dawsonville, Ga. claimed the event victory over Kurt English, J.T. Seawright, Ray Cook and David Payne. There have been two different winners on the Bonus Series this season, Shane Clanton picked up a victory at Tri-County Race Track and Ricky Weiss picked up the victory at Toccoa Raceway, both events held in March.

The pit gates will open at 2:00 pm on Saturday April 28th, the grandstand gates will open at 3:00 pm, the driver’s meeting is set for 6:30 pm and hot laps will follow afterwards. Adult grandstand admission is $15.00 while adult pit passes are $30.00.
