Who really cares how much any driver makes? It's not going to affect me any.

I forget why he dropped off the WoO.

But he dropped off Lucas because he wasn’t running all that well. He also shut down Team Zero that year and didn’t start building anybody else cars until Sweet Bloomquist became a thing.

So he spends more and makes more than most people on here. Got it. In other news, he hasn't had a haircut since Steve Francis' last win

In sports where comparisons are hard due to the top names not competing head to head, earnings is the barometer used to determine success. Late Model racing has been this way for a long time, really. NASCAR to an extent used to be like this. I remember old driver cards, with stats like first driver to earn 5 million in their career, and 6 million, etc.
Tennis and Golf are 2 sports that use earnings (or have in the past) to rank their players.
But since the top drivers aren't head to head every week, and guys run many races that are smaller and with differing fields, total wins is not a great judge of success...but how much you earn on track is. That's just my opinion, which is why I care.
