Spacers do make a difference in where the power is made. This was several years ago but in back to back tests on a 604 between a 1" and 2" hvh 4 hole spacer, the 2" made significantly more torque at a lower rpm than the 1" on Sunoco GT260. By memory it was 30 lbs/ft gain at 4500 rpm peak vs 4800 rpm peak. No notable gain or loss in hp. The fuel has a lot to do with what you will notice though.
im currently running 110 50/50 mix with shell 93 seems a little lazy on restarts.We are running a baker 750 and that is what he said to run.We can run anything just not trying to spend $15 a gallon
Might be wrong but I'd look at your tune up first...timing, valve adjustment, carb, cam timing... Never had spacer make enough of a difference that could be felt on restart....
