Smaller spoilers and flat decks would like those cars on modern cars would be a great start to reigning in the bodies these days.

Brings back memories of leaf springs, mono leafs, half leafs, Reese bars and cantilever rears... and spring ahead four bars.

Aside from the bodies, the cars looked SO much better back then when not everybody had a 15-color vinyl wrap on the car. A lot those cars also had hand-painted graphics including pin striping. That is a lost art.

I agree...i had a deal with a good sign shop where we traded advertising at one of my hot rod shows in exchange for a wrap on my Dodge sb pickup... when insaw their idea for a wrap i had them come up with a few different ideas.... non of which you could read from more than 10' away....

I ate the trade deal since i wanted pople to actualy be able to read the signage on my picjup.

Actually I was curious to know who won so I looked it up yesterday. Donnie Moran won. Purvis wasn't in the main event.

Remember that Friday night very well. It's the night I discovered fat girls provide a lot of warmth.

Great post and video. Late 80's I started watching LM's like this. Great thing about this post is all the no it all's on 4m should stay off this post. They don't remember because they weren't old enough to remember. 🤔
