Well. Madden and Marlar are now tied going into the biggest paying event on the tour.
-
Will be very interesting for sure now do the points count for Thursday through Saturday or do points count Saturday only

That's a great ? It has changed a couple times over the years.
Thursday night program only became WoO sanctioned about 4 years ago. Prior to that it was Corn Belt sanctioned, and prior to that it was UMP sanction. Before that, I have no idea???
The Friday/Saturday portion of the USA Nats do not count in the WoO points standings. At least they haven't in years past.
I believe Thursday night is a points night now, but if I'm mistaken, I'll gladly admit that mistake.
-
Thursday and Saturday are both points nights. Double heats Friday.
-
After tonight Madden has regained the points lead over Marlar by 24 points
-
Rough night for Mikey. I'm guessing he'll bounce back strong tonight and tomorrow.

Well Madden has the tie breaker for wins 6-4 but yes by points.
I did see a tie one time years ago. Came down to wins. Not sure what is after that.
Anyone know what WoO or Lucas uses in that case if drivers are tied for wins? Top5's?

Just got a little more interesting....

MDF, in '05 Moyer and Francis tied in points, and had the same # of wins, so that time they used 2nd place finishes as the tie breaker. Moyer had one more than Francis, thus giving him the championship. Not sure if either tour still uses this method.

Thanks for the info. Currently it's Sheppard (11), Madden (6) and Marlar (4)

THE REAL SLIDING SIDEWAYS!
-
I forgot they were show up points only 😳😳😳
But it's
Madden 4,236
Marlar 4,212
Sheppard 4,202

Had it been a points night, we'd have a new points leader. And the top 3 would all be within 2-3 points of each other. It's gonna be a good battle for the top spot in WoO.

Sure is. Just like last weekend. Day and a half off and they go at it again Monday night.
-
Not many events left. Like 6 maybe 7? And off for a month now. Rocket1 gonna be able to catch them? Madden and Marlar both ran well this past 3 events.
-
no competition outside of those 3. It will come down to the last night hopefully Sheppard can get a little closer to make that finally weekend more fun for the fans to watch.
-
How close does he have to be to have a realistic chance? Id like to see them both only 5-6 points out entering Charlotte
-
4 point difference between 1st and 2nd, 2 points per position after that. I think realistically Shepp is gonna have to be within 10 going into Charlotte to have a shot at getting by Marlar and Madden both.
-
Madden 4728
Marler 4706
Sheppard 4698
That is after 8-19 and now they are off til 9-21 when they head to NY PA and OH
