Wasn't the tire of Fegers car that came back funny the right front only? How does that make a difference?

Definitely doesn't hurt being so close. Best of luck to JO, he's a class act. I could see the argument of Jimmy racing less to be with his son holding water if he didn't do it for a living. The fact that he races to pay bills and not as a hobby, that makes a difference. Personally I like it when they go real "outlaw" and race when and where they want instead of trying to follow some tour all over creation. As long as he can stand the 4mers labeling him a "Cherry Picker".

Make a difference ? Really, these cars today are so dependent on how each corner works it is mind-boggling

Guys follow the national tours because the show up money is the closest thing they’ll get to a regular paycheck in DLM racing.

    Question

Does show up money even offset the diesel fuel bill? I'm told that the fuel alone on some trips runs in the $$$ thousands...

That’d depend on where the race is in relation to the shop. If it’s a track that’s close to home, is pretty much just money for the pocket. If it’s further away, not so much.

This is the first year I can remember that travel is more brutal for the Lucas series as opposed to the WoO.

Probably so. But that wasn't a recent incident. That was 5-6 years ago. Alot has changed since then. Just sayin'

It may be money in the pocket until one of those longer trips. Then you may need to dip into it.

A percentage of 1500.00 total start money vs 400.00 start money is still more money for the driver when someone else is paying the expenses.

If you worked for a company and got a % of the revenue, would you want to work for a 20 million a year company or a 1 million one? It doesn't matter if it loses money or makes money for your %, but will/could effect how long you have a job.

It got flagged because of a spray cleaner he had used on it. I'm sure that aided the TAR so much . Guys have learned what they can and can't use to clean them......well sometimes.

yes, it's huge. just as much (if not more) work goes into the front of these cars as the rear. It's mind-boggling really.

Feger doesn't have an experienced crew or funding to keep going. Read an article in the Pantagraph he has a 17, 16 and 23 year old helping. The 17 and 16 year olds had never helped in the pits before. Also read that last year he went through 5 motors. Completely different car, motors and crew makes a big difference, pretty much starting all over.

A lot of swartz are popping up in TN and KY just saying.... Cameron Marlar won his first time in one last night. Jimmy and Mike are close friends from what I understand.

Why did Jimmy ever get out of a Bloomquist chassis? I suppose Bloomquist wanted him out of it, since Jimmy was winning a lot. Because this Rocket chassis isn’t doing him much good. Is Jimmy hard to work with or what? I’ve met him through a friend that once worked for him, and he was friendly as could be. Jimmy needs to step it up, this is getting ridiculous.

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Actually all he wanted was Bloomquist secrets and knowledge, and when he got them, he cut and run with his ill gotten gains!!!

I am curious on why you feel like he is getting in the way. I don't see him out there holding anyone up. All of them have bad nights/weekends sometimes and some of them do get in the way of others but I don't see it with Jimmy.

The competition level on the Lucas tour is crazy good, Jimmy can still get it done. He's had a lot of bad luck this year as well. If it weren't for bad luck, he may have won Dirt Million and the Show Me along with his $25,000 win at Fayetteville with the WoO series. Then we would be talking about what a great year he has had.
