Big E tickets
-
Looks like the cost went up on everything.
-
Also paying $125k to win the Dream in 2019 & the Thursday night show is $10k to win each feature (up from 5k).
-
Close to a 10% increase for me... The renewal email also contained some vagueness about a change to the Royal for us sprint car fans... dunno what to think about that.

Did u think they were going to up the purse and not charge more??
-
It also appears that Lot 5 goes from $0 in 2018 to $59.00 in 2019.

To be fair, they have not touched the Saturday night Dream price since at least the early 2000's when I first bought tickets. It does cost more for the weekend than it used to, but there is now racing on the prelim nights vs just time trials on the old days.
If Kings Royal is gonna cost $44 but pay perhaps 6 figures to win, that seems more than fair. The fact that it was only $36 previously seems more than fair. Especially when a typical run of the mill Outlaw show costs 30 or 35 for 10k to win.
No one likes to pay more, but if there is a place that has always been more fair on prices (both tix & concessions) than Eldora, I don't know where it is.

It’s Eldora. Worth every penny.

Truck race actually went down... $40 in 2018 and $34 in 2019.

Maybe that will keep nascar from making then paint the empty seats!

Just got done renewing our World Hundred tickets and they went up to the tune of $30.00 for two tickets to all 3 nights. Doesn't matter to us since we haven't gone to the World in over 10 years and we sell our tickets to some friends every year.
The only race we attend at Eldora these days is the Four Crown Nationals and they went up in price right along with all the rest but we'll continue to renew them 'till we can no longer afford to go or the racing isn't any good anymore. Oh well, as long a folks are willing to pay the price they'll continue to go up periodically.

Wow, I hope they are going to overhaul the frontstretch seating or add way more money to the purse! Eldora has been making a ton of money on the big races for years. I know, it is worth the money and already produce good payouts. If you break down the amount of money made on these events though they are doing very well!

Unless I read the tweet wrong. The Dream is still going to pay using the same pay format, $20k for second. Only thing that was changing is it's $125k to win. And it might only be just for next year for the 25th anniversary
-
Seems like a big increase for only 25k extra...

Knoxville:
$106 for reserved three days (not advanced price)
$7K Thurs / $7K Fri / $40K Sat
Florence:
$96 for reserved three days (not advanced price)
$10K Thurs / $10K Fri / $50K Sat + mod show
Cedar Lake
$90 for reserved three days (not advanced price)
$6K Thurs / $50K Sat + local late model show
Eldora
$113 for reserved three days (advanced price)
2 x $10K Thurs / 2 x $10K Fri / $52K Sat
For the quality of field attending Eldora, the quality facilitites, full shows each night and the purse they pay out... it would seem like the $113 is a very good value. You are getting two additional $10K events Fri/Sat for basically $10 each night versus the other big events.
While we all know Eldora makes huge coin on these major events, the one thing you cannot say is that they are overpriced compared to other major events. Now, if you compare the event to the Sprint Car Knoxville Nationals and the payout they are providing racers at their marquee event versus Knoxville (fyi... $150K to win and $10K start + payouts each night)... well now that is where the debate REALLY begins.
