FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASEunn Benson Motorsports Selects Devin Moran as Driver for 2019DUNN, NC (December 5, 2018) – Dunn Benson Motorsports and owner Kemp Lamm are excited to announce Devin Moran from Dresden, OH will pilot the iconic #1 for Dunn Benson Motorsports in 2019. Devin Moran is the son of Dirt Late Model Hall of Fame driver Donnie Moran who is known as one of the top five all-time great drivers over his career. Devin Moran along with his brother Wylie Moran will relocate to Dunn, NC after the first of the year and start preparing the Dunn Benson cars to run the full Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series in 2019 and contend for the series championship. Devin just 24 years old, is already well accomplished in the dirt late model world with numerous feature wins all over the country. In 2018 Devin won four features and finished 4th in the final version of the World of Outlaws Late Model Series point standings. “Devin and his family are one of the most respected racing families in the industry. When I met Devin and Wylie earlier this year to discuss the possibility of driving my cars in 2019, I was immediately impressed with both Devin’s and Wylie’s maturity and knowledge of the racecars and their work ethic. I have always been a big fan of his dad, Donnie Moran, and think it is a perfect fit for two legendary families to partner together and chase a national championship. Devin has enormous talent and can win on the big stage even at his young age. We have been watching him for several years and seen him mature into one of the top dirt late model racers in country in our opinion. I just feel Devin and his family are a perfect fit for what Dunn Benson Motorsports, Dunn Benson Ford and what my dad built over the past 35 years”, stated Kemp Lamm, owner of Dunn Benson Motorsports and Dunn Benson Ford.Dunn Benson Motorsports has partnered with Rocket Chassis and will use Pro Power Race Engines in 2019. Were excited to have the chance to continue to chase our dreams and goals of winning a National Championship in dirt late model racing and be able to do that with Dunn Benson Motorsports. I would also like to thank Tye Twargo Racing and all my sponsors that have helped me over my career and get me to this point. With that being said I hope all my current sponsors and the people that support me will continue to as I move over to Dunn Benson Motorsports and chase a Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series Championship. I’m excited and can’t wait to get started at GA-FL Speedweeks”, stated Devin MoranThe Dunn Benson Motorsports Racecar will be unveiled at the Performance Racing Industry (PRI) Trade Show in Indianapolis, IN on December 8th in the TIGER Rear End Booth #2045. Big mistake for Devon in my opinion.
-
Well his car owner is retiring so what other options are out there?
-
Dang “When I met Devin and Wylie earlier this year to discuss the possibility of driving my cars in 2019” sounds like they was already ready to break from the bobby deal before bobby even got a chance to show they should keep a partnership in 2019.

The internal posse drama is real.....whether huck is tired of hearing it or not.
Good luck to the new DB team
Where is the move over flag when you need it?????

Exactly. Tye had mentioned a year or so ago that he was only going to go another couple years to three. So that meant Devin has probably only next year with Tye, so absolutely move on. Hopefully the maintenance and program overall will be better next year. Wylie moving with him will definitely help. Surprised they are keeping Pro Power as of now.
Up in the air who my next “favorite” driver is. Really losing hope on Bloomer getting anywhere back to “normal”.

On paper, all he is doing is living somewhere else.

If they want folks to actually read and comprehend their releases breaking it down into paragraphs would go a long way.... sorry just the old PR guy in me.

Not sure what "Pro Power" AND "Roush Yates" means.... of course RY is the parts supplies for Ford I guess.

WoO loses another young talented regular driver to the Lucas Series.
WoO is going to need to do something to attract drivers, which is hard with their schedule in comparison to Lucas.
-
Hopefully they at least gain Overton and Lanigan. Too bad Marlar is going to give it another run.

If Turbo goes Lucas which I think he will, that's a dang good young trio to have on tour. Hudson/Erb/Moran

A very good you trio of talent against a group of cagy veterans and middle age men. What a group of talent Lucas might have this coming year.

I think they made a good choice. I don't know who was in the running for the seat but the lamms have always had a very professional team. I always enjoyed seeing carlton an kemp drive up to a race especially when earl drove for them. I don't think earl would drive for a team that was not a professional team such as the lamms.

Maybe Bloomquist makes the switch to WoO? 🤔
Would like to see McDowell make a run for the WoO championship.

Too much money to race for on the Lucas schedule for Scott to switch. Word is Weiss is going to run WoO with funding. Divide and hopefully conquer.

He would still be able to go to most big events. He'd miss out on the past champ tow money stuff. He'd sell tons of merchandise at some of these new tracks on the schedule.
