    Default National 100 @ EAMS

Went to this track a couple times about 15 years ago, had a pretty bad experience, and swore I'd never go back. But everyone deserves a second chance, so I'm thinking -- weather permitting -- we're going to attend this event. The problem is, I can't find any info anywhere about the race. Not on EAMS website, not on their Facebook page, nothing anywhere. I'm mostly concerned about the number of support classes. If there's too many, it'll probably keep our group away. Anyone know?

Trust me. They’ll be 8 or 9 support classes. I’ll be shocked if not. The DoD ppv is the way to go for this event.

More than likely there will be MANY support classes and the program will be long. For me I don't mind, I've been a regular there for this event since 1986 and for me and my wife we see it as a racing festival, aka "The 72 Hours of Phenix City". If your looking for a quick, get in get out show I wouldn't go.

Planning on driving there Sunday morning (3-1/2 hours one way) and coming back Sunday night, but you guys have already got me ready to change my mind about going. It's a shame there are tracks like this who don't care about the fans of the sport. We might just wait another week and make Brunswick our first show of the year, like we usually do.

They usually put out a pretty detailed schedule for the whole weekend. You could show up Sunday at track maintenance time and see just what you hoped for and nothing you didnt. Sounds like you already know the score with eams but this race brings out the cry babies every single year, no matter what. See ya there if I can manage to get off the dam railroad.

To be honest, it’s not the old EAMS... the new surface is ice slick from top to bottom... I didn’t care for it... LOVED the old track but I hate this one.... and like everyone’s sayin, the amount of poorly ran support classes make it almost unbearable to attend

The website has been junk for a long time. Not sure they have anyone who can run it. I don't have facebook but I hear there is more info there.

Lol!!!! That’s why the ppv deal is the way to go. If it was 2 or 3 support classes I’d drive on down. But 10 is a big oh he!l no!!!!

How many late model classes? If not at least four they are doing something wrong.

Maybe I’m just not a race fan, but more than 3 for a special, or 5 for a regular show is too many.
Up in the air who my next “favorite” driver is. Really losing hope on Bloomer getting anywhere back to “normal”.

I went to a track one time. They ran three 4 banger classes. Never went back even though they ran LM weekly also.

How much does that deter LM guys from coming when you run that many classes. Even though they can just hangout in the toter and wait.

Well then our group won't be going. We'll just start our season the next week at Brunswick.

I know 3 and maybe even 4 of the classes listed run all of their heats Friday and race Saturday after everything is over. So that does help some. I wont be attending either. I'll just sit on my front porch and listen to the announcer from there. Lol

TerryM, just bypass them all and come to East Bay, we will leave the light on for you.
