On the credit card thing, I think a lot of people would be much more AGAINST some of these small businesses having credit card machines if they understood the risk involved. It is very easy for small businesses to fly under the radar of PCI compliance audits and that is a VERY bad thing for the consumer. I work in IT (network security specifically), and you would be shocked how easy it is to steal credit card data from businesses that aren't following even basic PCI DSS guidelines.
You can Google these acronyms to learn more in interested. I don't want to get too far off on a tangent here.

Agree. Being involved in a retail business, I've seen cc machines freeze up and run considerably slow at peak times. Great when they run smoothly, pain in the butt when they have a glitch. I use plastic often but wouldn't even think about using it at a dirt track except maybe at a vendor booth. One should always have some cash on hand.

I’m not giving you a penny, and yes it all spends the same. To complain about swiping a credit card, and the dreaded 30 seconds it takes, I’ll bring $60 in ones, or actual change, just for you, and pay them with that.

When you go to the grocery or whatever and somebody in front of you pays with a cc or debit, do you get this worked up? Do you even go to the track. Always so negative on here.
