Default Bodhisattva" - Steely Dan ft. Donald Trump

I just played this video again and the music is the real original unaltered version. CIRF, how can this be?

Too bad this song has suppressed, in fact that have cut out some of the best parts, some of the guitar work. The guitar work is superior.

Anything that Steely Dan does is pretty much superior though!!!!

I've been checking out their videos on you tube and sadly they have done this too all of their music. This is not the only band I've seen this done to. NEKTAR has be altered also.

We saw Steely Dan in concert at the grandstand at The Illinois State Fair a couple of years before Walter Becker passed away and they were GREAT!! Donald Fagen's voice was still strong and tone pure. Walter Becker announced during the introduction of the band that two of the female backup singers had been with Steely Dan for over 25 years. Very sad about Walter. He was a premier guitarist!

I've read where Donald Fagen and the remaining members of Steely Dan are touring but it definitely won't be the same without Walter.

CIRF you really got to see them. That just can't be beat...

The song above really was butchered though. There was a lot of incredible guitar work that was either nearly silenced or actually just plain cut out of that song. Larry Carlton got nearly tuned out of that one.

Wonder what the reasoning is for this? Seems to be going on way to much on the internet.

Yep, we did, Clay! When the Illinois State Fair concert lineup was made public that year I couldn't believe my eyes. We bought VIP passes for that show. Steely Dan was as tight at that concert as they ever were. When Walter Becker introduced the band a long time member of the Steely Dan horn section was sighted as a tenured music professor at The University of Illinois. That made us very proud! Becker said he'd been with the band for over 25 years.
