Dennis Erb Disqualified.
This has been reported by Mid American Racing...Being told DIRTCAR has Disqualified the 28 of Dennis Erb Jr for not going to post race tech at Volusia. Erb has been awarded with last place and Brandon Sheppard inherits the feature win. How does this keep happening???
-
Was he told on the front strsight area after the win or did someone allow him to go load the car and go to bed then announce he forgot to show up ? Then win the DQ contest...
I want URR Unified Rules Racing .

After hearing Dennis's side of the story, if true, WoO race officials really screwed up. Sounds like they need more personel at these races to get it right.
Erb claimed he went to the scales. got waved thru, then went to where they teched cars for droop the night before and nobody was there. It was then that he went to his pit.
It's ok to have your whole crew along with baby huey ride to tech on the rear deck, yet penalize someone for this.
Dennis knew he had to be teched. He went to where he thought he should be. Wasn't like he was dodging them. His car was @ his pit stall. Not hard to find. We're not talking about the parking lot at 6 flags.
I will say, Dennis handled it well. I would have popped a cork had it been me.
Dennis and Heather, congrats on your 6th WoO win. It's been a while.

Woo sure don’t like those IL boys getting wins
-
Isn't that where Brandon is from?
Where is the move over flag when you need it?????
-
Woo will never admit they might have had a role in the confusion .....never.

Penalized to last place ...

How long does it take to tech? Are they checking tires and droop rules?

Correct. They are like Nascar in that sense. Never made a mistake.
Listening to Erb's side of the story, it sure didn't sound like he was trying to pull something shady. How many officials do you think were walking around there with radios? Would you think one of them could see he wasn't going to the right area and pointed him in the right direction?

His car is the wrong shade of blue.

What I don't understand is the winner of each heat went straight to
scales and tech as soon as they came off track to the infield, so why
did they (woo) not have them do the same after the feature ?
On the other hand Erb knew that the winner had to be teched as soon as
race was over and you can not go to pits before hand (series or not ).
I think both sides screwed up.

Truer than you know.

Dennis is rarely competitive enough to be teched. That could be a reason why he was unclear what he was supposed to do.

Ding, Ding, Ding.

He was definitely screwed over, cars should get teched before victory lane interviews and all done at the scaling area.
If I was Dennis, I would say bye bye WoO, hello Lucas Oil.

He just ran 3rd Monday night and didn't miss it. Dennis seems to be pretty smart and level headed, also never lets his emotions show. I can't see him being unclear on what he was supposed to do. Someone like Whitner doing this, I would believe it a little more.

If it’s true that an actual WOO official waived Erb off, and signaled to go on thru....then it’s all on WOO. There’s no arguing it. I’m not for nor against Erb. He seems like a good guy from what little I’ve been around him. I agree that if it was me I’d be like..”shouldn’t somebody be checking my car?”...but if he was waived on by an official....sorry...that’s all on WOO.
