Only in racing does a person knowingly put on a dud show, and then blames everyone else for not appreciating their dud show.

Did he ever make a feature?

You have to run top 3 to break even I guess …. Id like to know how the track did …. I would think this funds there whole year ….

Bob, it looked packed. And I saw the upper rows of the new bleachers were either 50 or 55 bucks per night

Whatever Easy Bay and Volusia turn in profit during speed weeks pretty much fund their operation thru out the year. Their weekly shows are very sparsely attended. Talked to one of the guys who travels and works the vendor/souvenir trailers, $700 a week or $200 a night to set up at Volusia this year. I have not nor will I ever complain about my Boylens steak on a stick/porkchop sandwich budget.

Could you possible post the text from that Twitter post from Tyler? I cant view it on Twitter cuz I don't have it.

Tyler doesn't race much, or at least hasn't in the six years I've lived down here. When he says 6K, 3K and 5K for tires, fuel and parts, I'm assuming that was what he spent on purchases to start his racing season -- not what he spent just for Speedweeks. As sparsely as he races, what he's spent so far, should last him well into spring.

Ummmm, Tyler Milwood was the 2017 ultimate super late model champion......not sure how you can not race much and win that , but ok?
I'm pretty sure the figures he put out there were what he bought for speed weeks....but I'm probably wrong.
Where is the move over flag when you need it?????
-
This is a conservative and modest budget but I always figured on $30k to run both weeks
10K a week in operation costs (tires, fuel, entry fees and food)
10K to fix stuff and engine laps
and none of that includes a total disaster happening

We walked under the bleachers and checked out the structure …. They spent some Big Bucks there … Nice place … My wife commented on the clean bath rooms too …

Those numbers are pretty close, Id say. 24 tires is $4000+ retail. He also raced more than just Volusia.

I would say that number is about 1/2 of the real number. Theres a whole lot more expense that is not mentioned.

I really wasn't taking the tweet seriously l just assumed it was them being funny.
-
someone please help this team out. "Natural Light"? seriously? once upon a time when I was in college my two room mates and I drank generic "Beer". white can. black print: "BEER". cheapest $hit available. and I know it tasted better than "Natural Light". surely someone in that area can afford a Busch sponsorship.

It was called near beer in my neck of the woods.......but lets be honest here, natty light and Busch ain't too far apart in terms of tasting good.
ice cold anything beer when it's 90 outside and a grill is lit somewhere close by, and even then only a handful.....beer fills me up.
Where is the move over flag when you need it?????
