With iRacing becoming more popular...................
With iRacing becoming more popular what other dirt tracks would you like to see in the sim racing game?
Not saying it would happen just a thought amongst us all here on 4m.
-
Here are some I would like to see.
East Bay Raceway Park (FL)
Boone Speedway (IA)
Tri-State Speedway (IN)
Whynot Motorsports Park (MS)
Ventura Speedway (CA)
Eagle Raceway (NE)
& this division - DIRTcar Big Block Modifieds
ALSO
on the asphalt side i'd love to see the ISMA Super Modifieds as a class.
Anytime they can add a track or division / class of car I think it makes it that much better. Being able to try a car on a track they wouldn't normally run on is different but a bit fun.

I've heard you might see Port Royal in a year or so or by the end of the 2021 year same with Cedar Lake. I could easily name another 10 or so tracks I'd like to see in the sim racing game.

I’m tired of watching people play it but I wouldn’t mind getting a set up.

Cedar lake and i55 are both coming. Would like to see Macon on there

They are scheduled to scan Lucas Oil Speedway also.
-
Keep in mind it costs around 100k to scan a track.
-
At $14 a track and 100,000 plus members they will be ok. Wouldn’t add tracks if they didn’t make money. I would love to see them “put dirt” on Bristol like they did Lanier and USA. Don’t think nascar will let them do that unless they were really planning on doing it though.
-
My understanding is the track has to put up some of that money.

That's my understanding as well and it's only fare they do so scanning a track isn't cheap as we've all seen.
From what I had understood when they did Fairbury was it was a 2 day process.
Still cool too see.
I seen former NASCAR track North Wilkesboro is scheduled to be released around June 1st.
Out of all the track in NASCAR Cup Series history that was one of my all time favorites to watch a race.
For those that haven't tried iRacing it takes a bit getting used to as it not like any other game.
In my experience it's pretty close to being real other then being a sim game.
I think as time goes on iRacing will only get better.
Tried an F1 car on dirt in a practice and that was crazy.

If tracks have to some cover costs then I don't see East Bay being done unless someone else steps up. Place is barely staying afloat now
-
Talladega Short Track, Perris Auto Speedway, and Bakersfield Speedway.

I get on a couple times a week. I just try to have fun and be competitive. I don’t have the time some of these guys to put in to be really good. I’ve heard several drivers say it’s close to real thing as you can get. Obviously it’s not a 100 percent accurate.
My favorite track is Lernerville it’s amazing how different the corners are.
I’d love to see them add Marshalltown and Port Royal, but it’s gonna be awhile before that’s even considered. We have to have actual racing first so they can get accurate info on how the track changes.

Here’s an a cool video on how they scan the tracks.

They need to get Tazewell on there!!

Huskerdirt,
That is a very cool iRacing scan video. Had no idea what video existed. Looks like an incredible process. Thanks for sharing.
