They will not run The Dream without fans. If they can;t host June 4-6, they will re-schedule for later in the year.
-
Heresay, from a bunch of buckeyes (worthless nuts):
A friend of mine (ex-track promoter) heard from a friend of his (another ex-track promoter) that heard from a friend of his (ex-sanction owner) that talked to someone (who will remain nameless) in eldora management that thier first race will be the Kings Royal.
Dream will be moved, Ohio Speedweeks likely to be canceled altogether.
For What Its Worth...
Grumpy old dirt track fan. Anti-Sanction. Anti-Social. Anti-Media. Anti-SocialMedia. Anti-Climatic.

How many calls you think they are fielding every day?
Someone who made a large cash outlay is a customer who will get better service. No different than if you call Mark Richards to help you with 2 new xr1 vs a 1991 black front.
Troll on if you wish. I guess quarantine has gotten to you.

So your saying I won’t get my tickets that I have been getting for 18 years?! That blows

A friend of mine called there today and they told him they are making a decision in by Monday the 18th and they will post it.

I believe it too. WHEN word comes directly from the big E. Rumors are doing no good.
-
Whatever comes, I have no doubt that place will do right by it's fans! Always has. Most reasonably priced big time event track in the country. Especially for the caliber of events they hold.

If it happens, I already have the days off work and I AM going.
If it doesn't I'll just have to haul the camper elsewhere that weekend, already having the time off.
Covid sucks!

I hear ya. I’m off all week to. I’m headed to Indiana to my friends lake house May 30th for 4 days. Then usually head to the Moose in Celina, then to Eldora. I’m going regardless. Gonna see all my yankee friends and have a great time. But I’m still highly confident. Friend from Celina sent me info of what’s opening in Ohio before or by May 31st On that list included campgrounds, horse tracks, and sports leagues. Very promising. But I’m sure some sap will shoot this down in a comment below. Lol

If you seen the same list i did look at the bottom of that list. It says no casinos or racinos which i assume means racing as its a typo but i hope im wrong. The list is if you google ohio mandates it comes right up. Like i said just dont know what racinos is

A Racino is a type of gambling establishment that also has some kind of racing included. Most generally a horse track or dog track. The racing may resume but the casino part of the property would be closed

Sounds like indoor activities. Eldora’s fresh air and fumes and rubber means no chance of catching covid-19-bs-1%. Lol!!!

I kinda thought maybe that's what it was but never heard it called that before. Thanks for clarification.

Your welcome. I've heard it before but not for along time. I'm not even sure if Ohio even has one? Probably because most of them have closed or are closing is why you don't hear the term. Especially the dog tracks. A few I have heard of also have some kind of controversy behind them when it how they are classified and the protesting behind it when it comes to animal torture.
-
If you've ever seen how some of those trainers and owners treat and train those dogs it is tortuous.
Some , not all.
Where is the move over flag when you need it?????

I guess they could open and run it if they follow the 50% capacity guideline, but then how do you determine who gets to attend and who doesn't? I would bet that probably over 50% of the fans get there tickets In November during the pre-sale period every year. If they are using the latest guide lines then i would guess it's not gonna happen in June. As right now Mass gatherings are still prohibited even if they are out doors. I too hope they announce something soon so i can rearrange my vacation if needed and possible. This was copied from the current order that is still in place as far as i know . The date it was put up was May 2nd , I don't know if it has been amended as of yet. But the page i found the link on said update as of May 14.
This list was under a heading titled continued business closures. but is most likely not 100% accurate because i think I've heard of some of these types of places opening up anyhow.
Entertainment/recreation/gymnasium sites.
Includes, but is not limited to:
All places of public amusement, whether indoors or outdoors, such as:
Laser tag facilities, roller skating rinks, ice skating rinks, arcades, indoor miniature golf facilities, bowling alleys, indoor trampoline parks, indoor water parks, arcades, and adult and child skill or chance game facilities remain closed.
Gambling industries.
Auditoriums, stadiums, arenas.
Movie theatres, performance theatres, and concert and music halls
Public recreation centers and indoor sports facilities.
Parades, fairs, festivals, and carnivals.
Amusement parks, theme parks, outdoor water parks, children's play centers, playgrounds, and funplexes.
Aquariums, zoos, museums, historical sites, and similar institutions.
Country clubs and social clubs.
Spectator sports, recreational sports tournaments and organized recreational sports leagues.
Health clubs, fitness centers, workout facilities, gyms, and yoga studios.
Swimming pools, whether public or private, except swimming pools for single households.
Residential and day camps.
Campgrounds, including recreational camps and recreational vehicle (RV) parks.
Excludes people living in campground RVs with no other viable place of residence.
Excludes people living in cabins, mobile homes, or other fixed structures that are meant for single families and where preexisting residential activity already has been established. (E.g., for people who have part-time preestablished residences at campgrounds for the summer months.)

Better stay home crow, then you might actually get to go to a race.
