Ya unfortunately Jason Johnson's racing career ended at Beaver Dam Raceway!

They have fencing around the corners now. Hopefully they will come back track had a couple grooves. That 20 is looking good

Yeah, I think the 20 takes the 50K back to Tennessee this weekend.

Hopefully we see a Owens / Sheppy battle. It would be highly entertaining to watch two of the smoothest and cleanest racers go at it for 100 laps.
Brandon didn't put down 2 fast laps last night and it cost him. Qualifying is everything when it comes to these talent loaded crown jewels. I bet he qualifies better tonight.

What does that have to do with it looking like a nice place?

Looked like a combination of lapped traffic and the car going away in the last 10 laps. He looked good all night. Nice to see him back after the shop fire they had to deal with.

Pennsboro,
Beaver Dam is a very nice facility. Plenty of seating, parking, option to sit on the hill on a blanket/lawn chairs (some do, too many skeeters for me), private tables for rent at specials, vendor row behind main grandstand, and plenty of options at the concession stand.
Decent size bleacher section in the pits, although I wish the pit lighting was a little better.
The track crew prepares a good racetrack, and as you saw last night generally 2-3 grooves. IMHO, the 2nd nicest dirt track facility in WI, just behind Cedar Lake.
There's a 1/2 mile track at the Dodge County fairgrounds about 2 miles down the road. The IRA sprints run both. WoO sprints only run at the 1/3 mile.
I like late models, but BD is definitely more sprint car country in WI. Hope they bring the lates back on a yearly basis.

That's awesome. Thanks for the info. Watched the broadcast last night and I was impressed by the looks of the place and how unique it raced. Definitely a hidden gem for late models I suppose.

Previously known as Charter Raceway, Beaver Dam is a pretty nice joint. There used to be a Taco Bell on site... it's gone now or I missed it somehow.
