The WoO guys have been on the road for a long while when the N/S hits. Everybody and everything is worn out after all that. They all use the time to refresh the bodies and the equipment.

That's understandable and I'm aware of the time they've been on the road. Lanigan lives 5 mins from this place, maybe it's just me, but I'm not sure how you pass up 50k that close. Even if it meant driving a back up car of someone elses.
