Strickler back to his Longhorn
Saw Kyle will run his Longhorn chassis at Volusia next week. Although it does make sense after struggling for nine nights in his Rocket XR1, and being fast out of the gate in his Longhorn by Loenbro modified, many of you 4mers will get your wish. It will be interesting to see how this plays out.

I think it was in the release that he was going to drive his own car on the weeks lucas was off.
-
He was driving his own longhorn for non Lucas races but now PCC owns his longhorn and a new long horn is on order and they should have it next month. They will be trying to sell the rockets.

Thanks gb8. Didn't know that.

Drivers are cheaper to replace than cars.

Pretty early to make a switch he was most likely gonna suck at eastbay regardless of the chassis he was in

I've never heard that one, but makes a great point.
I guess the value of the win to the owner is the magic number that fouls up normal thinking.
Where is the move over flag when you need it?????

Kinda makes me wonder how deep the pockets are for this team & how long they last?

Strickler was BAD fast in his Longhorn over the last 10-12 months, so the switch to Rocket was puzzling to me from the beginning. Hated seeing him in the back of the field all last week. Hopefully he is back up front soon!

Guy without owner meets guy without driver. Owner likes his cars.

Did anyone ever think it might have been a mental thing with Kyle as well? I can only go fast in a Longhorn because it is the only chassis that I have driven as a DLM driver. On the other hand, a Rocket loyalist team might be getting a heck of a deal on the two PCC Rockets for sale. Food for thought?

good move i never understood why they went with rockets when strickler and vinny have worked with longhorn so much in the past

Vinny had Junghans going in a Rocket? If I'm hiring a driver, I believe he's good enough to drive what I have. It's just tubing.

Car owner had Rockets. Pointed out in DirtOnDirt article that he is the only big name Rocket driver on Bilstein as well. So that hurt. East Bay and Bubba's weren't the only place he struggled in the Rocket either. He backed both cars in the wall at Lavonia in December.

How many wins did he have Chase Junghans going

Interesting just how much difference a driver faces between the 2. I wonder if Bloomer has a rocket and an XR1 in his shop to compare

Didn't Marlar use both Rockets and Longhorns when he won his WoO belt?

I believe he ran one for WoO and the other for Lucas races and unsanctioned races.
