When there is a higher than normal electricity use with every home running electric heaters when the temp drops, that makes it even worse. On top of that, Texas is dumb enough to isolate themselves from the rest of the country's powergrid.
It sometimes snows in Texas. Significant freezes like this should have been factored into their planning. Other states don't shut down when the temp gets below zero.
And it wasn't 25 percent of powers loss....they all didn't quit,the ones that did accounted for about a third of the 25% total wind capacity.
So again, what now?
