Mississippi thunder
Looks like a pretty cool joint. First I've seen of the place. https://twitter.com/dynamite_ruben/s...585554949?s=21

Sounds like a pretty fast track 100 mph averages during practice. Ryan Gustin has a $40k USMTS win there.

Isn’t that the race that he outdueled Bloomquist?

One of my favorite venues. This place is getting better too. I'm going both days.
Political correctness,...is the inability to speak the truth about the obvious.

I think so. Same weekend as the World and Scott was banned from it so he went there? I think booby when booby won

Was this practice for WOO late models or just regular track practice ? If practice was for WOO also , who from WOO showed up ?

Really cool setting, quality facilities they keep upgrading. Good racing too. Wish I coulda made the 5 hr trek down. I think that’s gonna be a heck of a show. From a National standpoint, I expect you’ll be seeing more out of that track in the future.

Awesome track and promoter. You Southern boys that write off Midwest tracks north of Interstate 70 have no idea.
I hate time trials.

There's a $5k bonus if someone can win both features

Thank you, Flo Racing. Otherwise I’d never heard of this place. Awesome joint.

Racing in the south sucks. Midwest racing is awesome. Who are these northerners you’re referring to? A real fan loves the thunder.

I have never heard anyone "write off Midwest tracks north of Interstate 70" before, in real life or on this board. Midwest tracks are probably better anyway because red clay dirt usually makes for bad racing.

I look for the race tonight will be hammer down with the high horsepower engines ruling.

I have heard there are frost warnings in some areas of the upper Midwest. May be a good idea to wear a good heavy jacket or snowmobile suit. Do they serve hot chocolate or chili dogs at the track ? Nothing like a chili dog to help warm a person up.

Can't remember ever hearing anyone out of the south say anything negative about northern racing...

Oh it'll be cold, no doubt about that...

Yeah, I’m waiting for Kaz to reply to that claim. I’ve never heard anyone say that either.

Qualifying group 3 contains 5 of the top 8 in WoO points, plus the Lucas Oil point leader.
McCreadie
Sheppard
Madden
Weiss
Erb
Gustin
Also 3 drivers who have a ton of laps at the place (Timm, Sanders, Sorensen).
