Driver on the pole should be able to pick inside or outside
At Senoia every car that starts "second" on the outside is winning every heat since the first lap wins nowadays. If a guy is supposed to start on the pole, they should be able to pick which lane they start in.

Lucky Dog, pick top or bottom lane, yeah let's add more NASCAR crap to dirt Late Model racing.

Actually, the 'choose' piece came from dirt.

Lets just write the check to the leader of the first lap while we are at it! Its called racing for a reason, you have more than one lap to advance your position!

^^^^^
Let’s go one step further. Just payout after qualifying is over.

Lebanon Valley the pole sitter always starts on the outside, its even called the Lebanon Valley pole.

Honestly a lot of races in the South are decided at the pill draw! If you don't draw in the bottom half to get put into group B, you're never starting on the outside pole to get the jump!

Starting top or bottom is so dependent on track surface with dirt racing you could never claim a right or wrong way to go about it. Banking in any dirt track gives the advantage to the guy on the outside, especially if they have a cushion to lean on. The big 1/2 mile tracks with minimum banking in my opion is were you see your best racing. Port Royal, Knoxville, PPMS, you usually get racing all over from top to bottom. Then, it doesn't matter who starts where.
