WOO Bristol Bash - Drivers List
Looks like 17 drivers turned laps in super late model practice last night. I don’t expect this to be anywhere near the car count as was at the XR races last month, but was hoping for around 30 or so. With the Lucas races now being rained out for the weekend, and word on any of those guys dropping down to Bristol?
-
With how hard on equipment Bristol has been I would be surprised if they get anymore than 2 of the Lucas regulars.
-
Think I heard on the broadcast they had 23 at the track and one more on the way. Probably Sheppard.
-
I’m really surprised Hudson and Double Down haven’t raced here. Hard on equipment yeah but a marquee track in the same area as their headquarters and Lazy Days.
-
So they’ll have enough for a full field anyway it sounds like. A bit surprised Ferguson isn’t coming back with how well he’s ran there the last 2 years. We’re huge late model fans, and came to the XR races last year…but really the draw for us coming back up for the WOO weekend this year was that they are doing the late models and the sprints on the same weekend, rather than separate weekends like they did last year. Seeing a sprint car hit over 140 mph around that place should be pretty incredible.
-
My race pass has 22 410 sprint cars and 20 late models. Last year all the cars had to be loaded in before Thursday afternoon and once they were in they weren't coming out until after the races. Not sure if that has changed

Anyone know if Ross Bailes is there?
-
Hudson posted on FB taking the weekend off.

He's got it on his schedule.

Up to 22 entries with Bailes and Tim Vance added.

$25,000 to win and they can't attract a full field?

Shepp and Rocket1 are at Mineral Wells testing. Seems Sheppy hasn't run there before. Of course that brings up the question why they didn't stop there last Sunday when returning from Atomic.

WVMS had 12 cars last week for $10,000 to win. The common denominator obviously being, at tracks like these, winning 10K, or even 25K, isn’t nearly as enticing when you weigh the cost of tearing up your equipment. Only one car is winning. It’s a big risk for the rest of them.

In think the whole Bristol dirt hoopla has worn off for both the drivers and fans. It will be interesting to see what the crowd is like this weekend after what looked like minimal fan support for the XR races?

Those other brands better BEWARE ! ! The testing gonna make the Rocket ships Take them bully bulls by their horns !

Kyle Larson with an ABSOLUTE SHOW from dead last after being put to the rear for not being in staging on time (was scheduled to start P2)…if he doesn’t put it in the wall in 1 and 2 on the last lap there’s a real good possibility he passes Davenport for the win in 3 and 4. Instead…left to wonder what could have been. It was unbelievable to watch though.

That was a pretty (not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word) good race. I guess they can race on that track once it slicks off.

Just watched the race tonight from Bedford, Greg Satterlee did exactly that. Azz whuppin

Larson got shafted. His slm was pitted in with the sprint car. He was in the car waiting to get pushed out to the track. Bozo shuman, ìnstead of getting his head out from between his legs, tells larson your late, to the rear of the field. I don't know if he would have gotten by JD, because moved to the top also, but larson was the show, period.
-
Shuman probably screwed the pooch if he thinks he'll get Rumley/Larson back to another WoO event. The Sheppy to Lucas comment was priceless.
