Many of them are veterans idiot…….to call Republicans anti veteran party would be akin to calling the democrats the anti-police party.

Toomey: Congress Must Protect Veterans Care Bill from Being Used as Vehicle for Massive Unrelated Spending Binge
Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Pat Toomey (R-Pa.) today spoke on the Senate floor about his effort to fix a flaw in the PACT Act. As currently written, the bill would enable $400 billion over the next 10 years in spending completely unrelated to veterans. Senator Toomey’s technical fix does not reduce spending on veterans by even $1 or affect the expansion of care and benefits in the underlying bill.
Watch the Senator’s remarks here.
The PACT Act as written includes a budget gimmick that would allow $400 billion of current law spending to be moved from the discretionary to the mandatory spending category. This provision is completely unnecessary to achieve the PACT Act’s stated goal of expanding health care and other benefits for veterans. However, it would enable an additional $400 billion in future discretionary spending completely unrelated to veterans. By failing to remove this gimmick, Congress would effectively be using an important veterans care bill to hide a massive, unrelated spending binge.

No pork. All money directly to veterans. Why can’t we have a bill like 5his?

As usual, you have everything backwards. Dems want this bill for all of the other nation ruining projects that is in it.
Dems will never allow any stand alone bills, like this one should be.
President Trump (the actual president of the USA) reversed all of the abuse that Obummer did to the vets and treated them right. Then Bite Me comes along and takes it all away from them. And on top of that demands they get useless vaccinations or be dismissed from the services. People are not enlisting now because of the Vaccs and the gender/tranny nonsense that they are putting on them. And CRT to boot.
It's the Army, not an endoctrination service to make Marxists and weed out Conservative patriotic people. It's madness that will weaken and destroy our military.
And there you are blaming Republicans/Trump for everything that the Dems are actually doing. What does it take to wise you up ss???
Anti Vet party? Yes that's the Dems!!!
But get ready for your next "stimulus" check to make it all good! It's coming. Let's say maybe $1500 per person and extra for dependants. Yes sir, gotta buy some votes for the elections again, and get out the cheat sheets again! GBA!!!!

I'll give Stewart credit for trying to advance this cause, because it is a (not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word) good cause. But I will not give Stewart a pass on his partisanship and his showmanship. Every time he gets a chance to get in front of a camera it is often a loud, excitable, profanity laced tirade. It's part of his brand I guess.
The truth of this is - the PACT act was initially passed by the Senate, with a lot of support from Republicans. When the PACT act went back to the House, they changed it. They turned it into a discretionary spending bill. This on the heals of the massive spending bill misnamed to reduce inflation. Because the many trillions of dollars spent over the last few years has done so much to reduce inflation as it is, right?
Here is a good excerpt and explanation from a physician with a military background.
So looking at the big picture, it is apparent the democrats snuck in a provision that would allow $400 Billion in additional spending unrelated to veterans benefits into the veterans bill, knowing they could get a public outcry if the bill was blocked because they had so many veterans groups lined up to support the bill, thereby politicizing veterans’ health issues for a quick victory in unrelated spending. Worse, this extra $1 Trillion in spending will likely make inflation worse which will harm the very veterans they purport to be helping. After the surreal embarrassment of August 2021 with the US retreat from Afghanistan, I consider this the second Democrat insult to Afghanistan and Iraq veterans in a year. This should have been a ‘clean’ bill with no political strings or tricks attached.
The GOP, for its part, should have anticipated the blowback from the vote and failed to release a public message to expose the truth hidden in the legislation. Hopefully they can remedy the situation ASAP and educate America on what the democrats are doing behind the scenes and what the effects on the US economy and inflation will likely be. That being said, if they can convince the democrats to remove the insane budget ‘fat’ from the bill and turn the PACT Act into a clean bill devoid of any political pork, they should support it so the veterans can receive help and the House and Senate can return to important issues such as fixing the US economy.
