"If Durham was doing it for the love of the game, sure. However, it's his job. People leave jobs for a better job every day."
I am not arguing that point, but I am pretty sure teams and the Crew Chief in particular, get some sort of bonus, besides a salary, based on the team's performance. Plus JD is fairly easy on equipment which makes Durham's job easier compared to say a Randall Edwards with Turbo. Can't see the Scott brothers winning anywhere near $2 Million combined in a season.
-
I heard Durham wanted to go somewhere that wouldn't require him to spend so much time on the road. When the season started, they said they'd only do 50 races this year. They did close to double that. I'm surprised it took this long for the word to get out. This has been talked about in the pit areas for at least a month.

Very surprised Landers didnt make some concessions to keep him!
Another crew chief/driver dynasty down the tube!
-
MRM, your saying JD ran 100 shows this year ? Not questioning, but that number really seems high.
-
I was curious myself so I went and counted the schedule. Subtracting rainouts, I came up with 84 nights competed in with 2 still on the schedule.

Fine, of course..........as successful, not even close!
Chemistry and racing intelligence cant be bought!

Must be nice to be born with that silver spoon like the Scotts. They're throwing so much money into that operation that if they still can't win big money often, they might as well pay a better driver.
-
Where do the Scott's race out of, wondering if it's close to Jason's shop?

They race out of Randy weavers shop in Tennessee. From what I read Durham will keep stormys cars at his shop in Kentucky and maintain them there

Pathetic post of the month.
What business is it of yours where their money comes from other than the jealousy that they are successful and you're a loser.

That's kinda how I feel about it too. It's not like those guys are out there running over people to win races, or even for 10th like some others we see out there. Those dudes race with respect.

Yes- pathetic post!
Nobody complains about Lance Landers $$ for Davenport or Mega Plumbing $$ for TMac. The Healeys are big-big time sponsors of rodeos in the state of New Mexico. They have long supported the arts and environmental issues- why not support your grandkids dreams if you can afford it? All of us would do the same. Want to complain about $$ buying rides- switch over to NASCAR.

Jealousy. We rejected his Mensa application, and he's still bitter.
