McIntosh replacing Ross Bailes in the 79 car
Expected to start July 7th on the Southern National tour
-
What chassis are they running now? I read Longhorn, but Ross ran the double-nickle chassis at least a few times.
-
They're running Longhorns.

Different rides I believe. Hicks runs Longhorns, Im pretty sure he has a different ride that runs the Double Nickel cars.

Double nickels are longhorns, benji left longhorn and started his own thing

Hope he's still rocking the Buick engine.
-
I seriously doubt he will be using his dad’s Buick engine in the Billy Hicks ride.

That is a longhorn copy. Remember benji hicks worked for longhorn a few yrs. He stamped his dbl nickle.
THE REAL SLIDING SIDEWAYS!

He thanked Benji last night at North Georgia so I think it's a Benji 55 sort of Longhorn.

As the dirt Gods have said for years, every race car since the second one has been a copy. To the point though, copy or not, the car is a Double-Nickle, not a Longhorn. I am wondering when another driver will debut in one of them. Haven't seen Benji out in a few weeks; maybe he's busy building some.

With Rocket and Longhorn dominating the market, I'd like to see some other chassis get some business. Maybe they are all just copies of each other, but I enjoy the Ford-Chevy-Dodge-Pontiac-Olds type manufacturing wars in NASCAR and I liked it when there were more chassis in Late Model racing.
