WVMS For Sale- $1.2million
-
No place for it with the way the sport is right now. What a shame.
-
Well that didn't last long. To bad it didn't work out
-
It didn't sneak up on Ray Charles
Modern Day Wedge Racing
Florence -3
Atomic - 2
Moler - 1
Eldora - 2

There was a rumor they were going to shorten the track, again. Guess they decided to sell it. Whoever has it really needs to shorten it.
-
I agree with MRM.
At worst, split it in 1/2 and make 2 bullrings. Mods on one end and lates on the other.

That’s thinking outside the box…..I kinda like it.
Where is the move over flag when you need it?????

That takes more money.
Hopefully whoever owns it next can do that and hopefully the new owner doesn’t demolish it to build something different.

You can’t go cut the grass off the track a week before a big race and expect to turn a profit. Like anything else, the people who put in the most effort usually have the most success
-
The decision to go back to the big track configuration was mind-numbingly ignorant of the state of the sport and the fact that all of the racers in the area are on the lower end of the budget spectrum and build their cars for the 1/4 miles that surround the place.

Go ahead with the 1/4 mile build, alternate weekends with Pennsboro. As it is, it's a concert venue at best.
-
The place was a horrible idea from the start. 1.2 to buy it then another million to shorten the track, put a fork in the place.
-
I’d honestly just like someone to buy it and pave it.

In that area all the drivers have an allegiance to Ohio Valley on Friday and Tyler County on Saturday. The new Pennsboro and if WVMS survives will never be anything but special event venues unless one of the established tracks go under.

They should've shortened it when rebuilding it. Hold special races only, it might have made it.
-
i feel like WVMS will be sold before Pennsboro is finished .How is the process going at pennsboro.

They've moved some dirt and started to develop the track area. Still too early to tell just what the track will end up like. Appears not to be very high banked.

They have no scheduled races for 2024 per X. (Twitter)

It's never been rebuilt, it was shortened and then returned to original without any changes to the infrastructure.
