Charlotte World Finals Q?
Anybody have any insight on Charlotte? Where to sit, what to avoid, places to go? What time do they typically get done each night? Any other must do's in the area?
TIA

Really not a bad seat, in the stands- pit area can be crowded as far as trying to get a good spot to view. Area has all kinds of racing stuff, K1 kart track is only a few minutes away and if you want the best karting go up the road about 25 minutes to Trackhouse Motorplex (formerly GoPro Motorplex); they change operating hours and start early during the World Finals. Lancaster's BBQ is a unique racing restaurant in Mooresville that is a good stop, a trip up towards Lexington NC will also get you some of the best BBQ in the area.

The trip to Lexington NC is worth every BBQ enthusiasts time, and then some…..if you want to kill some time during the morning and day and aren’t from the area Charlotte is about an 1 hour and 45 minutes from the blue ridge parkway….Jump on that for some of the best mountain scenery in the country, might even find you some good river trout cooked somewhere along the way.
Where is the move over flag when you need it?????

100% agree with Evel and BBQ's suggestions, especially that Lexington BBQ, it is awesome! I'd also suggest hitting up downtown Kannapolis. Veteran owned Old Armor Brewery is a cool spot to grab a drink. Also check out the Dale Earnhardt memorial statue. There is a slot car track that does rentals, a bar arcade with Kingpin bowling, a few spots for food, and there is generally food trucks on the weekend s too. Just park and walk everywhere, it's all in the span of about 6 square blocks. If you've got the misses with you there are a bunch of boutiques, and little shops to check out too.
Also in Concord, the Smoke Pit BBQ is pretty solid. And if you're grilling at the track, there is an excellent butcher shop right next door to the restaurant with high quality meats.

Some of the NASCAR teams have some pretty cool stuff to see at their shop/museums. Hendricks, Roush and others. Not sure if it's still there but the DEI shop had some great #3 nostalgia. The old race cars from the 70's were something to see.

Thanks everyone for the recommendations. We will see what happens. We have a couple tee times and the weather looks good, a little cool at night but daytime temps looks great. Looking forward to some racing. This will have to hold me over until February!

If you can't find something to do up there, you're likely laying on a stainless steel table getting ready to be embalmed!
By the way, it has always been televised but I don't see it anywhere this year.
