If money is what brings excitement, then have the top 3 or 4 race a no-bull style format (full field) for one race and pay those drivers the extra money by how they finish against eachother. Don't make the season long points a gimmick, it should be rewarded as a year long achievement.
57, don't get me wrong I would be all for them keeping it the way it was but, they changed it and as long as the drivers knew what the format was before the year started then I don't know what the beef is. They could have ran WOO instead but, choose to stay with the Lucas tour because of the potential of winning the money at years end. The drivers and teams could have let Lucas officials know they didn't agree with it and they would be running WOO but, they didn't as far as I know. Maybe it was discussed but, I haven't seen anywhere where they did. so, Maybe someone can verify or correct me on that.

The old saying is "if you finish well, the points will take care of themselves". I don't think that is necessarily the case anymore, most everyone who watched the races this year struggle with Ricky not being the champion. As I've said before, if they choose to run Lucas again this year, there will be no sympathy from me. I felt bad for Ricky last year because I don't think anyone thought it could happen, now they know.
Everyone has different reasons for running the tour they run be it the tracks they go to, the format, the money, etc.
I keep hearing about the money Lucas offers but nobody responded when I asked how much money Ricky made this year compared to Bobby?
You all realize that the ones funding this stuff have lots of money and can obviously afford to lose it or they wouldn't do it? Alot of their investment is at risk, so it's not really the same as most businesses. That $200,000 could buy a complete car and all the spares for it (maybe)? A couple bad nights and that could all be gone..... championships last forever.
I'll continue watching because I like racing, I hope they don't confuse me watching as I support such nonsense though.

I was glad to see him win since it was obvious Ricky wasn't going to, but for Devin to even be in the running was nuts as he wasn't really a factor all year long.

RTJ got maize wholed. pure and simple out of the championship that he most deservedly earned. . .

as of now 14 WoO confirmed vs 9 LOLMDS. im guessing 1 o'neal will win the LOLMDS fairly easily. my pick is for b5 to win the WoO. WoO > LOLMDS in 2024 imo.

Not long ago they had what, 8 cars finish the tour?
-
Last year they had 24 sign the bonus points agreement-14 ran all the races.
It will be no different this year- in my opinion.
-
Glad to see Erb added. Was getting concerned. He's been following WoO a long time.
-
Dennis ran Lucas many years before going to WOO.

That leaves Madden and English unconfirmed. In years that he ran the full tour, Madden has been runner up three times and third once. He hasn't won a lot at Eldora but does he make the jump to Lucas and aim to be in the top 4 come the DTWC and go for broke?
