James Essex
The best announcer ever in my book. Looking forward to listing to him on the mic in just 2 more days. I sure have missed racing every week.

Dude could make instructions for a putting a dining room table together sound exciting……love Mr. Essex on the Mic.
Welcome back Sir, we’ve missed you over the winter.
Where is the move over flag when you need it?????
-
He's a nice guy too. He comes down to every pit spot and talks with the drivers and crews before the race.
-
Look forward to seeing/talking with him starting Thursday at GI.

I like James, but Chet Christner is even better.

Really enjoy the banter between him, Dustin, and Ben!
Really miss the Oz behind the mic!

when I started reading the comments this was my first thought as well James is excellent and his enthusiasm and dirt late model knowledge is second to absolutely nobody but as far as pure announcing the golden pipes of Chet are pretty tough to beat

No doubt! As much as the engines, Ozzie’s voice was music to my ears.

They all do a fantastic job, when you think of the series you think of the voice, they all represent well. These longtime announcers become family with fans and competitors.

Just one of the things i really like about James Essex. The way he's always bringing up the old super stars of late model racing. Brownstown had a ton of great drivers, some of the best to ever get behind a wheel in a late model. The old Kentucky drivers and race tracks like Barren Co. and Taylor Co speedway.
The way he gives you details about a small time driver and who the car owner is.
I've never met this gentleman but i highly admire him.

James is a great racing historian and he is as nice to the fans at the track or off the track. Can’t say that about 1 of his Flo associates. Granted: they are on the job and are working and their time is limited but James treats everyone as friends/family. Being in the business as he has as a promoter, announcer and ect. - he appreciates the loyal fan base a little more than the others. Summary: “ Old School”

What a pleasure it is to listen to James Essex announce a race compared to Rueben's yelling and misinformation.

Yep thats the main reason I don't have DirtVision
