Rod Conley Sixth in Visit to Ohio Valley; Doubleheader Weekend on Tap for CMI

(WHEELERSBURG, OHIO) In the lone event of last weekend for the Conley Motorsports, Inc. (CMI) teams, Rod Conley competed on Friday, May 3 at Ohio Valley Speedway in Washington, West Virginia. The United Late Model Series (ULMS) presided over the annual 'Topless 50' and a $5,000 winner's check was up for grabs for the topless Super Late Models.

Rod clicked off the thirteenth quickest lap in Group A during the qualifying session prior to grabbing the fourth transfer spot through his heat race. After starting the 50-lap headliner from the inside of the eighth row, the Wheelersburg, Ohio veteran was able to steer his #71R Rocket Chassis past nine competitors en route to a solid sixth place performance. At the checkers, "Hot Rod" trailed only winner Tyler Carpenter, Colten Burdette, Ryan Montgomery, Michael Lake, and Todd Brennan. Complete results from Ohio Valley Speedway last Friday can be viewed online at www.ulmsracing.com.

Next up for the CMI teams will be a doubleheader in their home state of Ohio on May 10-11. Both Rod and R.J. Conley are set to invade Moler Raceway Park in Williamsburg, Ohio later tonight, while the brothers will tackle Atomic Speedway in Alma, Ohio on Saturday evening. A $2,000 top prize will be on the line later this evening at MRP, while Saturday’s Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series opener at Atomic boasts a $5,000 payday.
