Morning Thunderstorms and Wet Forecast Doom Biddle Ridley Memorial at North Georgia Speedway

(CHATSWORTH, GEORGIA) Early morning thunderstorms and the probability of more wet weather on the way have prompted North Georgia Speedway and Schaeffer’s Oil Spring Nationals officials to cancel tonight’s scheduled ‘Biddle Ridley Memorial.’ There is no immediate rain date available for the $10,053 to win special event. The Spring Nationals looks forward to working with the staff at North Georgia Speedway again in 2025 and beyond.

With the rain-out in Chatsworth, Georgia tonight, all eyes shift to the series point finale on Sunday, May 26 at Duck River Raceway Park. Previous Spring Nationals winners at the Wheel, Tennessee venue include: Tim McCreadie ('13), Dale McDowell ('14), Josh Putnam ('22), and Dale McDowell ('23). The single-day extravaganza will include ten divisions in action including the Super Late Model, 602 Late Model, Dwarf, Pure Pony, Factory Stock, Front Wheel Drive, Mod Lite, Mini Cup, Open Wheel Modified, and Rookie 602 classes.

The pits will open at DRRP at 1:00pm, the stands will open at 3:00pm, the Drivers Meeting is scheduled for 5:00pm, and Hot Laps will get underway at 5:30pm. Adult admission will be $30.00 into the grandstands and $45.00 into the pit area. Kids ages 6-12 will be admitted into the stands for $20.00 and into the pits for $25.00. Small children ages 5 and under will be allowed onto the grounds for FREE.

Duck River Raceway Park is located at 1100 Haskins Chapel Road in Lewisburg, TN 37091. The track phone number is 615-474-2505 and the track website can be accessed by pointing your web browser to www.DuckRiverRacewayPark.com.

Following the first seven races of the Spring Nationals season, there have been no repeat winners on the tour. Heading into DRRP tomorrow, Donald McIntosh sits atop of the series point standings by twelve markers over Pearson Lee Williams, who experienced terminal mechanical trouble last night at Sugar Creek Raceway and subsequently lost the point lead.

The Spring Nationals tire rule in 2024 is Hoosier Racing Tire NLMT 2, 3, 4 and American Racer Tire 44, 48, Pro3/56, Pro4. Body rules and the Droop Rule are the same as those agreed on by both the World of Outlaws Late Model Series and the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series - among others. The entry fee will be $100.00 and transponders will be available to rent. Any driver not advancing into the feature field will receive $75.00 in tow money.
