Default The Lunbeck Ironman(RJ7171C71r) WINS 1st Track Championship at Wakefield Raceway Park

Well guys I wrapped up the championship tonight and it wasnt easy!!Aaron qualified 3rd and I qualified 6th.so he gained 5 points in qualifying!!Then in the 1st heat,he won his and I got 3rd,so 10 more points gained !!Then in the 2nd heat we both finished 3rd!!So I had a 37 Point lead going into the feature!!He had to beat my by 4 spots!!He was having chain issues and my motor is not up to Power!!About halfway thru hes in 4th and Im in 6th and he makes a move for 3rd from Mike May and his chain comes off!!He gets it fixed and was going to pull back on,but it came off again and he called it an evening and I was so relieved that words cant describe it LOL!!

I was so sick to my stomach at work today and hollering at my employees over the littlest things LOL!!Well, now Scott doesnt care what they do as I will be getting a Big tall Trophy with Wakefiled TRack Champion on it I ended up winning the championship by 47 points as I gained 10 back in the feature, but it was a stressful but very good night at the end!!Congrats to Phil Harding on the win,Jamie Roush for 2nd and Mike May for 3rd!!Also congrats to John Wayne Roush for another Hard Charger award!!

Wakefield, OH. Just about 15 minutes or so north of Portsmouth just off of 23.
This is just a small bullring of a track. Maybe 1/20th mile track. But wide & very racey! This was our 1st season & we ran 8 points events & 1 non points race & may run a couple more non points races within the next month depending on the weather.
This season we only ran one class. Blue clone motor karts with everything being stock. We really like this class as it is very affordable to run. We are trying to encourage anyone who would like to get into racing to come out to our little track & check it out. You can easilly find used karts for a low cost & these motors only run $100 - $150 or so. We have both kids & adults racing! Each driver who races with us regularly are super & are great about helping each other out & could fill anyone in on any questions about the division.
May look into more classes for next season...Still up in the air....
