Did he already lose the points championship tonight?

Yep. Kyle Larson won the championship.
2021 race count
6 events

He could still be fine. They are only counting 5 of the 9 (now 8 because Fri at Alltech rained out) Speedweeks races. He needs some good runs at Eastbay and Bubba though

If he ran the full season, you just might. Thank God Mr Hendrick aka Satan picked him up.
Up in the air who my next “favorite” driver is. Really losing hope on Bloomer getting anywhere back to “normal”.

Not sure if even TC has ever been to All-Tech before. Looked fast at times, looked meh at times. Sucks that he didn't make the show, all it took was him having to check up behind Stovall when he was making a move for the lead in the B with a few to go. Was fast at Arizona and just came to a track that a lot of guys found tricky. It'll be more tough competition for the rest of speedweeks but he could put on a show at East Bay.

Bloomer wasn’t there. Larson got lucky. 😜
-
RT should have turned Stovall in the B Main. All the way under him, backed off and missed the field.

I agree. I would like to see what he could do if he ran a full season. I put him in the category of A.J.Foyt and Tony Stewart.

I forgot about the mulligans in FL. Thanks guys.

Been expecting both RTJ and Strickler to make a lot of noise, reality of the level of competition can be a bitter pill. Owens, Marlar, and Larson were maybe the only cars that showed the ability to run people down and pass them, Larson could do it at will, the others had to work much harder. Whatever your cup of tea thought the track provided a very interesting race.
I hate time trials.

I expect RTJ and Strickler to struggle at some places this year. Some of these tracks they've never been. Strickler is also adjusting to the Rocket chassis. Both are great talents, and will get it figured out.

Agreed. That's exactly what I said a couple weeks ago. RTJ will do big things, but he will have nights like last night too.

Maybe the second year. He would be lucky to finish top 5 his first year!

Umm, maybe maybe not. I know that I sure wouldn't bet against him.

Thornton is 0 for 2 and Strickler has as 23rd and a DNS....
Not a good start, but man, Speedweeks is tough on rookies with so many cars and nothing to fall back on.
You get off just a bit in qualifying and you're gonna have a tough night with such big fields.

It's a long night when you don't qualify good......on all tracks. Some more than others.
-
RTJ has qualified well enough. Heat racing has been the issue.
