JD Superman is back up front
Jonathan Davenport appears to be getting things together this year. Good results this past weekend. Great for the sport 👍
-
He was going to pass Chris Ferguson on the outside coming out of turn 2 last night, but a caution came out and Chris hung on for the win.
Congratulations to both teams for strong runs last night.

Real nice of superman to pull a $hitty move and cut down on Simpson Sunday night tearing up the Moring car along with damaging Stovall and Vaught's machines..

That could make the next race interesting 😜

I understand the car JD is now running is actually a 2016 that they got from somebody. The 19 and 20 model cars is too stiff for the drop rule.

Lucas doesn't run the droop rule

I heard it's actually a 2012 with 14 updates
-
I heard it was a car that was already in the Landers stable.

Nope, but if you change the chassis to game the rule, for when you do run it, you could mess it up.

I stand corrected I was informed it was a 2014 style

It's all about what a drivers feels in his cheeks he is sitting on. Overton sure isn't having issues with the new car.

A team with that much money behind it should definitely have one car exclusively to run those WoO races with the droop rule.

So you turn the left rear frame rail into a spring and that's how you rope a dope it. I wonder if you can get tubing in 5140 spring steel? See that's why other guys win and cars I work on don't.

Shovel on a little more coal, then when we cross white oak mountain, watch 97 roll!

Always great for the sport when the most well funded super teams with unlimited budgets are the ones running up front! I was starting to get tired of seeing some feel good stories/lower level teams winning some of these big races

I’m a fan and I’m not sure of how well JD is funded. You could be right. Looks like B Shepp is well funded as I’m sure others are. None of these folks are in the poor house. 45g or more for 1 chassis and 50g or more per engine for Supers.

You may be new to late model dirt racing - I don’t know? But davenport’s team- Double LL Motorsports owned by Lance Landers of Batesville, Arkansas is probably the 2nd most well funded team in all of late models. When established it was called the “Dream Team.” Lance dumps heavy amount of $$ into this team and Steve Martin with Nutrian-Ag Solutions (previously Crop Production Services) is a heavy hitter as far as sponsorship. So make no bones about it- Johnathan Davenports team wants for nothing when it comes to money.

In Florida, Overton did not like the new car and was running an older one.

Thanks for the info. It’s always interesting to see where the financing for teams come from.
