Only thing i know what what the announcers said last night. Rick Standridge had 2 broken ribs from the wild up in the air flip in turn 3 last night at Shepps. I have never seen a late model get that high and not go over the fence. Thank the Lord that his car was built as well as it was and he had good safety devices......

Hope Rick is doing better today, I am pretty sure that he is very sore and stiff today, well at least I would be.

Good Grief!!!! A couple of broken ribs and a few bruises.... WOW.....
What a testament to the Shaw Race Cars!!!

Glad to hear Rick was not hurt any worse than that!!

Great capture James, I now have a new background for the work computer!!!

Wow, was this flip weekend or what? Standridge, Werner, Korte, and another in the St Louis area .... add in the Kelly Boen violent flip along with the other two violent flips at Knoxville and there are a bunch of fortunate drivers in the midwest today!!!

Actually Werner didn't flip. The entire transmission and drive shaft came out of his car and got into his hip and leg.

HOLY CRAP!!! He's lucky he wasn't hurt any worse. Says a lot about the safety devices the drivers use and how these cars are built.

Default Ouch!!!

Man, that was one wild looking ride.I know it was a racin accident but what was the 5 car thinking? When he saw the 10 car all jacked up he should have got out of the throttle and let the 10 car get his car back under control then he could have passed him and not stuck the 10 car in the wall

yes...that was crazy. sitting in turn 3 we got the full view coming towards. Had it been the old yellow fence he would have been out of the ball park.

Watching the video, that car came down on the ground from high in the air with a direct hit to the top of the roll cage. It was a violent landing and a violent stop.
