Bluegrass State Doubleheader Next for Schaeffer’s Oil Spring Nationals Series

(BRASSTOWN, NORTH CAROLINA) The Schaeffer’s Oil Spring Nationals Series presented by Coltman Farms Racing and fueled by Sunoco treks to the Bluegrass State on May 9-10 for a big doubleheader weekend! Up first will be the tour’s inaugural visit to Rockcastle Speedway in Mount Vernon, Kentucky on Friday night, as a $7,553 first place prize will be on the line in the ‘Finn Watson Memorial.’ On Saturday evening, the dirt-slinging action will quickly shift to Lake Cumberland Speedway in Burnside, Kentucky for the annual running of the ‘Johnny Wheeler Memorial,’ which will boast a $10,053 payday.

Saturday’s stop at Lake Cumberland Speedway will also mark the fifth race that counts towards the coveted Coltman Farms Cup, which will provide extra bonus money and a unique trophy at the end of the year. While the series makes a first visit to Rockcastle this weekend, the Spring Nationals has previously sanctioned one event at Lake Cumberland in 2024. Camaron Marlar picked up the $10,053 winner’s check last year over a top five that included runner-up Josh Rice, Pearson Lee Williams, Jason Jameson and Daulton Wilson.

At Rockcastle Speedway on Friday, the pit gates will swing open at 2:00pm and the grandstands will start to allow patrons into the facility starting at 4:00pm. Rockcastle Speedway is located at 1495 Cove Branch Road in Mount Vernon, Kentucky. The track phone number is 606-308-9799 or you can learn more online by accessing www.RockcastleSpeedway.com.
