Like any business in this must difficult economy, change is necessary. Promoter Rick Jones has elected to run on Sundays for the remainder of the 2012 season.
“All tracks need cars and fans to survive. Without both you just have a trackâ€, GM Danny Wilson. “I trust that Rick has made the right decision. The economy is hurting all business’s so a change was neededâ€.
If things go good for the remainder of the 2012 season and we see an increase in cars and fans, in 2013 we will race on Sundays but they will be special shows. Rick has even talked about bring Super Late Models back to The Rock plus the Fastrack Late Models. All rules will be reviewed at the end of the 2012 season in hopes to build our car counts for next year.
Rick Jones not only promotes The Allegany County Speedway he also owns and operators Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex.
