ADRA DIRTMASTERS RAIN MAKE UP AT OVS SAT AUG 3
Apple Grove, WV July 29, 2013~ The ADRA DirtMasters (www.adraracing.net) presented by Suddenlink (www.suddenlink.com ) and the AMRA Kryptonite Race Cars Late Models (www.amramodified.com) brought 32 super late models to the Ohio Valley Speedway in Lubeck, WV last Saturday night but unfortunately the rains came with us. Early on it appeared we might get the show in as the crowd began to fill the stands but the skies opened up during the Mini Wedge races and we were forced to regroup. So we will do it again this Saturday August 3rd. Any armbands and tickets sold on the July 27 date will be honored on August 3rd as well but you must display your ticket or armband to gain admission. www.ohiovalleyspeedway.com) DRIVERS PAY ATTENTION TO THESE NEXT 3 PARAGRAPHS ABOUT THE ADRA PROVISIONALS FOR THE AUG 30 WoO LATE MODEL RACE AT WVMS. There is an added bonus to this weekend’s event. There will be 2 provisionals available as a result of the ADRA’s upcoming Racefest 2013 event at WV Motor Speedway on Thursday night August 29. The 2 ADRA provisionals are for the $10,000 to win $700 to start WoO Late Model event taking place on Friday August 30th. These are 2 provisionals guaranteed to go to someone no “if’s†“ands†or “but’sâ€.
1st WVMS Provisional- The highest finisher in the ADRA DirtMasters Late Model Thursday Night 40 lap event that does not make the field on Friday will get the 1st of the 2 provisionals. This provisional was provided by the WVMS promoter Lynn Chapman. www.wvspeedway.com
2nd Suddenlink ADRA Provisional- The highest in ADRA DirtMaster Late Model Challenge point standings will get the 2nd of the 2 provisionals. This provisional is made possible by Suddenlink. www.suddenlink.com
This means the 25 show up points received by the 32 drivers that were there this week PLUS the points from the “Kryptonite Race Cars 30†paying $2000 to win at OVS this Saturday August 3rd PLUS the points from the $4000 to win $400 to start ADRA DirtMasters “Suddenlink 40†on August 29th will be precious in qualifying for this coveted provisional. The points go with the driver not the car in the ADRA so it doesn’t matter which car you bring.
The driver must hold a valid ADRA annual license to be eligible. The ADRA License can be obtained from the ADRA at the race this Saturday or mail $50 money order or cashier’s check made out to the ADRA at P.O. BOX 207 Apple Grove, WV 25502.
We didn’t get any qualifying started this past Saturday so a complete redraw and qualifying session will take place. Registration is still open to any additional late model drivers who would like to enter the “Kryptonite Race Cars30 “this Saturday August 3rd.
Gate prices are the same $15 for General Admission. Kids 10 and under FREE! It is still just $30 for the pits. If that ain’t family friendly priced fun than it doesn’t exist! The food at the track is awesome too and equally well priced. Gates open at 4 PM racing at 7:30 PM. There are 32 Late Models already signed in so come early to get the best parking spots and seats.
The Racers In Christ (www.racersinchrist.com) will be with us again this week as well. We have a good time in the Lord wherever we go but when we can do it at a race track it’s an extra special blessing so we are going to have a trackside service at the RIC tent at 6:00 PM on Saturday for anyone who wants to join us. We pray together, hear the Word from the RIC Ministry, and sometimes we even do some singing but we ALWAYS praise the Lord. Feel free to testify. We love to share in the blessings!
Drivers the ADRA standard punch 40 tire rule we have used since 2011 is in effect. This rule is the center piece of the ADRA. The rule works very well to save drivers money on tires and helps to level the field for the lower budget teams. We have only 2 repeat winners in the nearly 3 year history of the ADRA; Eddie Carrier JR. and Donnie Moran. We are pretty pleased with how the rule has performed.
