WAYCROSS, GA (April 5, 2016) - The 19th Annual Indiana Icebreaker was postponed, due to inclement weather, on March 19th. The event, held at the historic Brownstown Speedway, will now take place on Saturday, April 9th.
The event will include a complete program of: Miller Welders Time Trials, Heat Races, and B-Mains - highlighted by a 60-lap, $12,000-to-win, $1,000-to-start main event. In 2015, Earl Pearson Jr. claimed his third Indiana Icebreaker triumph over Scott Bloomquist, Devin Moran, Jimmy Owens, and Don O’Neal. The ILMS Pro Late Models and UMP Open Wheel Modifieds will both compete for $1,000-to-win on Saturday, April 9th. Defending champion, Jonathan Davenport of Blairsville, Georgia leads two-time champion, Scott Bloomquist in the current Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series standings. Jared Landers is third, followed by Darrell Lanigan. Brandon Sheppard completes the top five in series standings. Sixth through eleventh are: Jimmy Owens, Dennis Erb Jr., Tim McCradie, Don O’Neal, Earl Pearson Jr., and Steve Francis. Colton Flinner leads the Lucas Oil Products Rookie of the Year - Presented by Hot Rod Processing.
