Dennis Erb, Jr. Ready for Lucas Oil Visit to Home State of Illinois this Weekend!
(CARPENTERSVILLE, ILLINOIS) The ultra-competitive Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series took the Dennis Erb Racing team to the Mid-Atlantic on April 21-22 for the annual 'Stanley Schetrompf Classic' at the legendary Hagerstown Speedway in Hagerstown, Maryland and to Port Royal Speedway in Port Royal, Pennsylvania for the 'Rumble on the River.' On Saturday night at Hagerstown, Dennis Erb, Jr. ran sixth in his heat race, fourth in his B-Main, and sixteenth in the $12,000 to win headliner after utilizing a series provisional.
At Port Royal on Sunday evening, Dennis qualified well - fifth fastest in Group B - before winding up ninth in his loaded heat race and eighth in his B-Main. The Carpentersville, Illinois ace, who currently finds himself fifteenth in the heated LOLMDS point standings, took another provisional and placed twentieth in the $10,000 to win main event after drawing a caution flag with only two circuits remaining in the contest. The #28 team will welcome the cars and stars of the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series to their home state of Illinois this upcoming weekend (April 27-28) for a pair of lucrative races at Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, Illinois and at Macon Speedway in Macon, Illinois. Both the ‘Busch 50’ at Granite City and the ‘St. Louis U-Pic-A-Part 100’ at Macon will boast a $12,000 payday and $1,000 just to start the main event.
