Rhett Carter Pockets $3,000 in Golden Isles Speedway Go
East Alabama Motor Speedway Biggie on Tap
Blackshear, Georgia (04/26/18) – For the second-straight week, Rhett Carter piloted his Continental Tire #44 Swamp Fox Insurance Agency/ XR1 Rocket Chassis / Wildcat Performance Engines Late Model to a feature win. In fact he registered a pair of wins.
His latest triumphs came in a NeSmith Weekly Racing Series event on Friday night at Oglethorpe Speedway Park, and then again on Saturday night at Georgia’s Golden Isles Speedway, where he picked up $3,000 for his efforts.
“Like I said last week, the first part of the year we haven’t been getting off to a good start early in the night, and that’s extremely important if you expect to have a shot at winning,†Carter commented. “On Saturday night we hit the ground running and had a great outing, and it feels good to have a bit of a win streak going now. Hopefully we can make it three-for-three this Saturday.â€
Friday night found Carter starting the weekend with a $1,000 triumph in NeSmith Weekly Late Model Series action at Oglethorpe Speedway Park (Oglethorpe, Georgia).
Behind the wheel of the Mac 44 Forestry #44 Super Late Model, Rhett Carter made the short trip to Golden Isles Speedway (Brunswick, Georgia) on Saturday evening.
In a field of 26 cars, Carter timed in second-fastest overall in qualifying behind Joe Kump, which locked his spot into the A-Main. Rolling off from the front-row, Rhett held off Jason Fitzgerald late to register his second win of the season and a $3,000 payday. Fitzgerald, Mark Whitener, Tyler Crowder, and Bo Allen completed the Top-5 finishers.

This Saturday, April 28 will find Carter competing at East Alabama Motor Speedway (Phenix City, Alabama) in a $3,000-to-win event with the NLMSCS.
