Bryan Bernheisel Returns to Winning Ways at Selinsgrove
Jonestown, Pennsylvania (05/30/18) –Bryan Bernheisel piloted his Dieffenbach’s Kettle Chips #119 Russ Gibble Roofing & Siding/ Lazer Chassis Super Late Model to his third victory of the season on Saturday night at Selinsgrove Speedway.
“Selinsgrove Speedway has always been one of my best tracks, and this season has been no different. We really had to work for the win on Saturday night, but thankfully we were able to get the job done,†Bryan Bernheisel commented. “Now, if we can just transition some of this good fortune to other tracks, we’ll be in business.â€
Friday night found Bryan Bernheisel opening his Memorial Day weekend of racing action at Bedford Speedway (Bedford, Pennsylvania) with the Johnny Grum and Turk Burket Memorial.
In a field of 29 entries, Bernheisel gained two positions in his heat race to finish sixth. Earning the 13th-starting position for the $3,000-to-win A-Main, Bryan improved three spots in the 35-lap affair, reeling in a 10th-place finish.
The following night found Bryan and Jim in action at Selinsgrove Speedway (Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania). Jim passed three cars in his heat race reeling in a third-place finish.
Meanwhile, Bryan started his outing with a heat race win, which locked him into the pole position for the feature.
Bryan jumped out to a comfortable lead during the first 18 circuits of the finale before Gene Knaub overtook Bernheisel for the top spot. Battling for the lead in the closing laps, Bryan Bernheisel ultimately passed Knaub on the final lap en route to his third win of the season.
Jim ran third for the majority of the race until he dropped back to an eighth-place outing after getting spun. Knaub, Jim Yoder, Ken Trevitz, and Randy Christine completed the Top-5 finishers in the 25-lapper.

This weekend – June 1-2 – will be another busy time for Bernheisel Racing. On Friday night Bryan will again chase a $3,000 top prize at Bedford Speedway, while Saturday will find Jim and Bryan both in action at Selinsgrove Speedway.
