Jesse Lowe Rebounds for Crossville Checkers
Crossville Speedway and 411 Motor Speedway Up Next
Crossville, Tennessee (06/19/18) – After a rough-and-tumble outing on Thursday night, Jesse Lowe bounced back on Friday night to take his Xtreme Pressure Washing #5j Baisley’s Body Shop/ XR1 Rocket Chassis Late Model to Victory Lane on Friday night.
“Our hot rod got a little banged up on Thursday night, but we worked all night to get things back together, and the hard work thankfully paid off,†Lowe said. “We had a good car on Thursday, but got our left-front suspension knocked out by contact. Friday night we were determined to get redemption, and that’s exactly what we were able to do.â€
Thursday night brought Jesse Lowe to Crossville Speedway (Crossville, Tennessee) for the make-up event from May 24. With 15 Crate Late Models registered for action, Jesse jumped to an early lead in the feature, but after contact from competitor he dropped from the top spot late to finish third behind Christian Hanger and Rusty Ballenger with Cameron Weaver and Drew Deaver rounding out the Top-5 finishers.
Returning to Crossville Speedway on Friday to compete in a Weekly Racing Series Event, Lowe slipped past race-leader Cameron Weaver on lap-23 and held off the field in the closing circuits to capture his third win of the season. Weaver, Deke Waters, Jason Sizemore, and Jeremy Shannon completed the Top-5 finishers in the 25-lap affair.
Jesse rounded out his weekend with a trip to Wartburg Speedway (Wartburg, Tennessee) on Saturday night, where he was competing for a $2,000 top prize in the United Championship Racing Alliance event. He would register a sixth-place finish in the finale.

The upcoming weekend – June 22-23 – will find 5j Motorsports entering a pair of events in their home state. On Friday night Jesse will return to The Crossville Speedway for a Weekly Racing Series Event. On Saturday night he’ll roll into 411 Motor Speedway (Seymour, Tennessee) for the $4,000-to-win, J.T. Kerr Memorial.
