North Dakota Racer Increases 2018-Win Tally to Eight

Grand Forks, North Dakota (07/17/18) – Dustin Strand had a busy weekend of competition with both his Walhalla Builders #71 McCaughan Builders/ Millenium Modified and his Bemidji Welders Supply #71 Keewatin Truck Service/ Millenium Late Model.

He enjoyed strong runs in both cars with a cumulative trio of Top-6 finishes as well as a Modified feature win.

“We had a really good weekend, and I couldn’t be more proud of how hard our team worked,” Strand said. “The sixth-place finish with the World of Outlaws on Friday night shows just how strong we are with our Super Late Model program. Our Modified was flawless from the time we unloaded on Friday night, and it made my job easy. I again want to thank each and every person who makes my racing program possible.”

Dustin Strand invaded River Cities Speedway (Grand Forks, North Dakota) on Friday night, where he entered the World of Outlaws (WoO) Craftsman Late Model Series sanctioned program. With 23 Super Late Models on hand, Dustin followed up the sixth-fastest time in qualifying with a third-place finish in his heat race. Earning the ninth-starting position for the $10,000-to-win A-Main, Strand improved three spots in the 50-lapper to finish sixth.

During the same night in the WISSOTA Modified ranks, Dustin gained one spot in his heat to pick up the 8-lap victory. Earning the outside-front-row starting position for the feature, Strand jumped into the lead on the drop of the green flag and led every lap en route to his eighth win of the season.

Ward Imrie, Dale Kraling, Mark Esala, and Davey Mills completed the Top-5 finishers in the 20-lap affair.

On Saturday evening at Devil’s Lake Speedway (Lakota, North Dakota) in the WISSOTA Late Model division, Dustin passed two cars in his heat race to reel in the victory.

After starting sixth in the finale, Strand improved four spots to place second behind Mike Balcaen with Cole Schill, Travis Robertson, and Shane Edginton completing the Top-5 finishers.
