    FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

    July 30, 2018

Dennis Erb, Jr. Nabs Top Ten in PDC Aboard New Rocket Car; Heads to Wisconsin!

(CARPENTERSVILLE, ILLINOIS) Dennis Erb Racing unloaded a brand-new XR1 Rocket Chassis on July 27-28 in the biggest Super Late Model event of the year in their home state of Illinois. The 29th edition of the 'Prairie Dirt Classic' took place over the weekend at Fairbury American Legion Speedway in downtown Fairbury, Illinois. On Friday night, Dennis Erb, Jr. wheeled his new ride to the seventh quickest lap in Group A during World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series qualifying prior to placing fifth in his $2,500 to win qualifying feature behind only prelim winner Chris Simpson, Kyle Bronson, Don O'Neal, and Paul Parker.

At FALS on Saturday evening in front of a jammed-packed, raucous crowd, Dennis earned the second and final transfer spot out of the first consolation race. After rolling off from the outside of the tenth row in the 100-lap main event, Dennis had visions of streaking to the front of the 'Prairie Dirt Classic' field to vie for the $30,000 top prize. The Carpentersville, Illinois standout did advance up inside of the top ten in the PDC and eventually garnered a solid ninth place effort. Full results from the action-packed weekend in the Land of Lincoln can be viewed online at www.woolms.com.

With no rest for the weary, the #28 team is currently headed to the Badger State of Wisconsin for a lucrative week with the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series. Things get underway later tonight, July 30 at Plymouth Dirt Track in Plymouth, Wisconsin. Action will then shift to Shawano Speedway in Shawano, Wisconsin on Tuesday, July 31 for another single-day throwdown. Both weeknight specials will feature a $10,000 winner’s check.

One of the biggest races of the year will then take center stage on August 2-4 at Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, Wisconsin, as the 31st Annual ‘USA Nationals’ will be held at the racy 3/8-mile oval. A $6,000 payday will be on the line on Thursday evening for the cars and stars racing with the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series. Two sets of heat races and a dash will then be held on Friday night to help set the lineups for Saturday at CLS. Following the consolation races and the Last Chance Qualifier, the hectic week will culminate with the 100-lap ‘USA Nationals,’ which will once again boast a whopping $50,000 paycheck. Dennis has finished inside of the top ten in the last two crown jewel spectaculars at Cedar Lake including a sixth place showing in last year’s version of the ‘USA Nationals.’ More information can be accessed at www.woolms.com.
