Dustin Strand Streaks to Two-Win Weekend
Two-Night, Two-Division Action on Tap for Strand this Weekend

Grand Forks, North Dakota (08/07/18) – Dustin Strand doubled down in Victory Lane over the weekend in his Keewatin Truck Service #71 RHR Brew/ Millenium Chassis Late Model.

The North Dakota hot shoe won a weekly event on Friday night at River Cities Speedway, and then backed it up with an NLRA Late Model win on Saturday night at Jamestown Speedway. He added a pair of runner-up finishes to his stellar weekend of racing.

“It was a really busy weekend, but it was a great one,” Strand said with a big smile. “To race four times and get two wins and two runner-up finishes feels pretty awesome. There’s a ton of talent in this region, and every time you hit the track you’ve got to be on your toes. I want to thank my team for all of their hard work. It’s pretty awesome to get to drive this car every week.”

Dustin Strand invaded Red River Co-op Speedway (Winnipeg, Manitoba) on Thursday evening, where he was piloting the RH Rebel Storage #71 Super Late Model entry. Dropping one spot in his 8-lap heat, Strand posted a runner-up finish behind Jesse Teunis. Via his performance in preliminary action he earned the seventh-starting position for the opening night feature. Working his way into a podium spot, Strand passed five cars to finish second behind Kevin Sexton with Mike Balcaen, Shane Edginton, and Rick Fawcett rounding out the Top-5.

The following night at River Cities Speedway (Grand Forks, North Dakota), Dustin improved one spot in his heat race, reeling in the 8-lap victory. Starting the feature in the eighth position, Strand overtook Shane Edginton for the lead on lap-7 and held the top spot for the next 13 circuits capturing his tenth win of the season. Brad Seng, Mike Balcaen, Edginton, and Joey Pederson completed the Top-5 finishers in the 20-lap affair.

On Saturday evening Strand headed to Jamestown Speedway (Jamestown, North Dakota) for the Northern Late Model Racing Association (NLRA) sanctioned contest. In a field of 19 cars, Dustin started the night off with a heat race victory, positioning him third on the starting grid for the feature. Jumping into the lead early, Dustin Strand topped Casey Meyer, Brad Seng, Mike Balcaen, and Cole Schill at the line to claim his 11th win of the season and a $1,200 payday.

Sunday night brought 25 NLRA entries to Nodak Speedway (Minot, North Dakota) to do battle for the $1,500 top prize. Passing two cars in his heat race, Strand streaked to a heat race win, which earning him the third-starting position for the finale. Gaining one spot in the 30-lapper, Dustin Strand notched a runner-up finish behind Donny Schatz with Brad Seng, Tyson Turnbull, and Robert Hellebust trailing them to the checkers.
