Rhett Carter Returns to Victory Lane at Waycross
    Win Caps Up-And-Down Weekend

Blackshear, Georgia (08/28/18) – After seeing the initial winner disqualified in post-race inspection, Rhett Carter parked his Continental Tire #44 Swamp Fox Insurance Agency/ XR1 Rocket Chassis / Wildcat Performance Engines Late Model in Victory Lane on Friday night at Waycross Motor Speedway.

Carter hoped to repeat his winning performance on Saturday night, but a mechanical failure sidelined him after qualifying.

“This weekend was kind of symbolic of our entire season,” Carter stated. “On Friday night luck was on our side, and then on Saturday night it left us again. It’s just the nature of the sport, but hopefully soon we can see more good luck than bad luck. Thanks to my team and my sponsors for their continued support and never giving up.”

Rhett Carter invaded Waycross Motor Speedway (Waycross, Georgia) on Friday evening, powering his Mac 44 Forestry #44 Late Model entry. Battling for the top spot late in the 30-lap feature, Rhett came across the line in the second position, but was eventually awarded his fourth win of the season and a $3,000 payday after the winner was disqualified. Will Herrington, Chad Tuten, Russell Brown Jr., and Henry Carter rounded out the Top-5 finishers.

On Saturday night for another $3,000-to-win A-Main, Rhett suffered a blown motor in qualifying that brought an early end to his night.

The team hopes to have their engine repaired in time for the upcoming weekend. If the engine is ready to go, Carter plans to compete at Cochran Motor Speedway (Cochran, Georgia) on Sunday evening. The program will be headlined by a $3,000-to-win, National Late Model Super Car Series (NLMSCS) event.
