Bryant Marsh Charges to Runner-Up Finish in Delayed Magnolia State Finale

Corinth, Mississippi (11/26/18) – Bryant Marsh had to wait almost two months to get back to business in the rain-delayed Magnolia State Cotton Pickin’ 100 Crate Late Model finale. However, when action resumed on Thursday night Marsh mounted a great charge to a runner-up finish in his Modern Woodmen #1 XR1 Rocket Chassis / Eagle Racing Engine Late Model.

“Man we’ve come so far with our program in the past few months,” the 18-year-old Marsh said. “We were starting to figure things out back in September when this race was originally scheduled, and we’ve been ramping up ever since.”

After starting 13th on the grid back on September 22, Marsh was up to the 11th spot, when rain halted the event on lap 13 of the 50 lapper. When the action resumed on Thursday evening Marsh immediately began marching forward. He clawed his way forward in the field before ultimately scoring a runner-up finish behind race winner Hunter Lewis. Chad Thrash, Chase Edge and Peter Hazzard completed the Top-5 finishers.

“We had a great car, but were still just a tick off from where we needed to be to get to Hunter Lewis. He drove a great race, and we were really happy overall. I was most bummed that the Possum Town Grand Prix finale got canceled because we had a great car on Friday night and locked into the feature. I know you can’t control the weather, but man I wanted to run that feature.”

The annual Possum Town Grand Prix headlined the weekend with a $10,000 top prize on the line for the Durrence Layne Dirt Late Model Series. With 54 entries on hand, Bryant raced to a runner-up finish in his heat race to lock into Saturday’s big finale. Unfortunately overnight rain on Friday left the facility with no choice but to cancel the remainder of the event.

Full results from the weekend are available at www.MagnoliaDirt.com and www.DurrenceLayneRacing.com .

The team has now concluded and it’s 2018 season, and is already looking forward to a big 2019.

Bryant Marsh would like to thank his marketing partners, which include Modern Woodmen Fraternal Financial, Eagle Race Engines, Subway, Rocket Chassis, Slugburger Café, Houston Sign Design, and MSR Mafia Website and PR Services.
