    Austin Horton Rolls to Rome Speedway Victory
    Increases 2019-Win Total to Four

    Newnan, Georgia (07/03/19) – Sunday night at the historic Rome Speedway was the scene of Austin Horton’s latest victory. He picked up a $3,000 victory for the triumph in his Vape’s Gone Wild No. 16 Wood Motorsports/ Orr’s Towing/ Super K Express/ XR1 Rocket Chassis by Clint Smith/ Vic Hill Race Engine Super Late Model.

    “We had a good piece the whole weekend. We started with a runner-up finish at Dixie [Speedway] on Saturday and knew we were good, just needed a little more and we found it for Rome on Sunday night,” Horton commented. “We definitely had some great cars behind us, so that makes the win that much sweeter.

    “I can’t thank everyone enough that has helped me get to where I am and the people that are just a phone call away anytime I need anything. Also, a very special thank you goes out to my family, friends and sponsors for always backing me.”

    Saturday night found Austin Horton in action at Dixie Speedway (Woodstock, Georgia), where he took his Vape’s Gone Wild No. 16 Super Late Model entry into battle. After laying down the third fastest lap in time trials, Horton gained one spot in the 40-lap feature to place second behind Michael Page with Austin Smith, T.J. Reaid, and Casey Roberts trailing them to the checkers.

    The following night at Rome Speedway (Rome, Georgia), for the Independence Day Celebration, Austin locked his spot into the show by setting the fastest time in a field of 19 entries. Outrunning Jake Knowles, Horton soared to his fourth win of the season, and was followed across the finish line by Knowles, Tyler Millwood, Derek Ellis, and Donald McIntosh. He pocketed a $3,000 payday for his winning performance.
