Tony Jackson Jr. Secures Third CCSDS Victory of 2019
Extends Series’ Point Lead with Weekend Performances
Lebanon, Missouri (07/23/19) – With his victory on Friday night, Tony Jackson Jr. completed a clean sweep of the 2019 COMP Cams Super Dirt Series events at Texarkana 67 Speedway. The win marked his second of the season at the ¼-mile oval in his Merrill Self Storage No. 56jr Willard Quarries/ Hassett Truck Body Repair/ Longhorn Race Car/ Cornett Racing Engine Super Late Model.
With the successful outing Tony increased his 2019-win tally to five.
“It was another strong weekend for our team. We swept the program on Friday night at Texarkana, and on Saturday night we were fast in hot laps, but then we got a ton of damage on the car in the heat race. Somehow, I was able to finish second in the heat,†Jackson Jr. said. “I’ve got to give a shout out to the Mason Oberkramer and Payton Looney team’s for helping me get the car back together for the feature.
“We’ll head into Batesville and West Plains this weekend and go after two more wins.â€
Tony Jackson Jr. followed the Comp Cams Super Dirt Series to Texarkana 67 Speedway (Texarkana, Arkansas) on Friday night, where he was competing in a field of 21 cars. After laying down the fastest lap in time trials, Jackson Jr. picked up a heat race victory, which positioned him on the pole for the opening night feature.
Leading flag-to-flag, Tony cruised to his third series win of the season and fifth overall victory of the year. Kyle Beard, Brian Rickman, Hunter Rasdon, and Morgan Bagley completed the Top-5 finishrs. He earned a $2,500 payday for his dominant performance in the 35-lapper. He also won the series opener at the oval back in March.
On Saturday evening at Boothill Speedway (Greenwood, Louisiana), Tony surived a melee in heat race, which resulted in heavy body and suspension damage. He limped his car home in the second position to lock into the $3,000-to-win finale with a runner-up finish in his heat race behind Morgan Bagley.
Rolling off fifth for the finale, Jackson Jr. advanced three spots to finish second behind Timothy Culp with Jon Mitchell, Kyle Beard, and Mason Oberkramer trailing them to the checkers.

Another CCSDS doubleheader is on the docket for Team 56 this weekend. On Friday night, Tony will enter a $2,500-to-win program at Batesville Motor Speedway (Locust Grove, Arkansas). The team will slide north to Gary Stolba’s Legit Speedway Park (West Plains, Missouri) on Saturday night for a $3,000-to-win race.
